Brick n Lace.

Guess no one's interested in the girl's night. haha.

I've kept myself busy lately by downloading lots of music and reliving old favourites. I just finished watching a wicked documentary on Jeff Buckley. You can watch it as well by clicking on the following link : JEFF BUCKLEY DOC
I can't believe how much I love Jeff Buckley. It's such a tragedy that he died. I wonder what kind of music he would be making now. Either way this is my favourite Jeff Buckley song.

What will you say

because of this documentary i was also reminded of strange attraction to Elizabeth Fraser, a member of this mortal coil and the cocteau twins and Jeff Buckley's incredibly talented father. This is a cover of a Tim Buckley song by Elizabeth Fraser called "Song to the Siren", an eerie and beautiful song.

Song to the siren

And a song by Tim Buckley himself:

I Must Have Been Blind

I've been feeling kind of down lately, the old wanting a better job thing. Seems whenever I have this feeling, I screw things up for awhile. I always quit a really good job that's really NOT that bad, hoping for something better and then end up being forced to take a really crappy job. You'd think I'd learn. We haven't been djing very much either so I've been really broke. But this time, being broke doesn't just affect me, it affects everyone around me. I need to find something fulfilling and that makes me a lot of money. haha. With that being said I leave you with this:

wheat thins and chinese food.

I'm watching Lynard Skynard on Ellen right now. They're playing "sweet home alabama". It's weird.

I'm home too much. I need 'out' time. I want to see my friends again. I've been busy with moving for the last month and now we're settled in. I'm thinking a girl's night. This time, no boys. Movie, wine, chatter, pizza? We can all pitch in for food and it'll be awesome. Who's in?

BURTDAY

It's my birthday tomorrow and the one year anniversary of CAMP SO CHILL. Our first gig was my birthday party and it was in Avery's backyard. It was AWESOME and we were probably SO bad haha but we had the best time til the cops OBVIOUSLY came at 130am.

We're spinning at the drake two nights in a row. Tonight in the lounge and tomorrow in the underground (high school gym class theme IS in place.

After THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER, we finally have everything in our house. We are starting to settle in VERY nicely and are making quite the cozy little home for ourselves. If only we could find somewhere to put the GIANT suitcases that are in our way :D........

I'm at work right now, thinking about the million jobs out there that are better and more fulfilling than the one I'm doing right now. I'm ALMOST Almost considering going back to the drake part time.......opinions? At least I kept busy there instead of sitting on my ass all day. I think I'll call Lolli tonight and ask her? ugh I don't knooooooow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME TOMORROW!!!!!

A Love Affair

I am actually madly in love with my new apartment. It is PERFECT. Last night Cam and I had an awesome night. I made my version of Shanghai Cowgirl's Ghetto chicken. Which is breaded fried chicken, steamed broccoli, and mashed potatoes smothered in mushroom gravy. My version though, I breaded the chicken with corn flakes. IT WAS SO GOOD. We sat on the balcony and ate and drank wine and watched the sunset and listened to music. Amazing. Everyone come visit. I guarantee you'll fall in love too.
